Game Definitions

Points Game:  Played strictly for attendance, points, and wins to gain entrance into specialty games that may require players to meet specific requirements.

Monthly Tournament:  Played the first Sunday (excluding Holidays) of the month at 3:00pm.  Attendance and final table (last 10 players) points are awarded.  Must have at least 1 point during the proceeding month to participate.

Specialty Game: Any game that is not considered a regular points game such as:  Team Poker, Thursday Thunder/Wednesday Wipe Out, or Monthly Tournaments,

Final Table:  Last 9-10 players left in the game.  Specialty games will have 10 player final table with the point structure altered to compensate for the additional player.

How points are scored to determine eligibility for the Points Quarterly Tournaments:

One (1) point is awarded to each player who attends any of the OneMor Poker League games including the PIC Charity games.  Additional point are awarded as follows:

Charity Games:  The winner of any Charity game in which the players choose to play out without chopping will receive 2 total points (1 attendance plus 1 point for winning).  Whenever players choose to chop any charity games players only receive the 1 attendance point and no one is credited with the win.

Nightly, Monthly, and Quarterly Tournament:  Each player will receive one (1) attendance point for playing and the final 9 players will receive an additional point for each additional position they last in the tournament.  First place will receive an additional 3 points and second place will receive and additional 1 point as demonstrated below:

Team Poker Tournaments: Team poker points are calculated 2 different ways.  For the 3 month session each team is competing for the lowest combined score to win that session.  Each individual player also receives points that count towards eligibility for the 2 quarterly tournaments that are termed "Points Quarterly Tournaments" for which eligibility is based on 6 months worth of points accumulation.  The points schedule is similar to the Nightly games except that the top 10 players receive additional points as demonstrated below:

Team Poker points calculations for each 3 month session

For Team Poker sessions, Points are awarded based on when player is knocked out of each tournament.  First person out for the game will receive as many points as players who are in attendance.  Any player who does not attend and does not have someone subbing for them will receive points equal to the number of players who are registered to play as of that night.  To demonstrate:

Week 1 - There are 16 teams registered, 31 people attend, John is a "No Show" without a Sub, Julie is the first person to get knocked out of the game, Joe wins for the night

Week 2 - 2 more teams register, 34 people attend, Julie is a No Show without a sub, Joe is first out, and John wins for the night

Week 3 - 1 more new team, Julie, Scott, and John are No Shows; however Brian subs for Julie and is 2nd person knocked out, Fred is first out and Deloris is the winner.

OneMor Poker League concedes to Robert’s Rules of Poker except for the following OneMor Poker League House Rules and/or judgment calls as may be deemed necessary by the Tournament Director or OneMor Poker League Board of Directors.  OneMor Poker League is intended to be a player driven league and its Board of Directors will make every effort to take seriously suggestions and/or grievances initiated by our players.  Of course, Venue rules are at the sole discretion of the OneMor Restaurant Bar and Grill owners and management.

CODE OF CONDUCT

All players must respect and adhere to established Venue and OneMor Poker League codes of conduct including appropriate:
1. Attire
2. Language
3. Behavior
• Respectful treatment of other players is expected.  Expressing displeasure to another player immediately following a hand is reasonable.  Revisiting the hand is harping and will not be tolerated.
• Outbursts/tantrums such as throwing/slamming of chips or cards will not be tolerated.  Players must respect each other and the equipment.

RABBIT HUNTING

Because OneMor Poker League is an educational league rather than a professional league, each player shall be allowed to Rabbit Hunt once per points game.  Absolutely NO Rabbit Hunting during specialty games such as Monthly or Quarterly Tournaments, Charity Games, Team Poker, etc.

MUCK DIVING

Because OneMor Poker League is an educational league rather than a professional league, each player shall be allowed to retrieve their cards once per points game in an effort to show other players.  Show one, show all.  Absolutely NO Muck Diving during specialty games such as Monthly or Quarterly Tournaments, Charity Games, etc.
WHY IS EXCESSIVE RABBIT HUNTING OR MUCK DIVING A BAD IDEA?  We thought you might want to know.
They result in fewer hands being able to be played and are therefore robbing other players, especially those who are not interested, from the maximum amount of play time.

LOOKING AT SOMEONE ELSE’S CARDS

Intentionally turning over and looking at another player’s mucked cards will not be tolerated and consequences skip number one and move to consequence level two during any single day/night of play.

TABLE ABSENCES

Maximum absence from the table may be no longer than 45 minutes total or 3 blind levels before player’s chips are taken out of play.  If player feels it may be necessary to be away from the table for such length of time, it is player’s responsibility to notify Tournament Director so Director may clock player out and to notify Director once again so player may be clocked back in.  If player has not returned to game prior to Final Table, their chips will be removed from game and they will be marked out at the time of last leaving the table.  If a player is blinded out while away from table, they will be marked out at the time of last leaving the table.  No "Away from Table" absences will be allowed at Final Table. (This does not include going to rest room, ordering from the bar, or leaving for a quick smoke break.)

NOT AT THE TABLE WHEN IT IS YOUR TURN TO PLAY

If necessary, cards for missing players shall be mucked when it is players turn to act, including those players in the blind positions.
Cards for missing players SHALL NOT be mucked if:
1.The missing player can be seen AND
2.The missing player is making an attempt to reach the table.
Cards for missing players SHALL be mucked if:
1. The missing player can not be seen OR
2. The missing player is making no attempt to reach the table.

FROZEN HANDS

If a player accidentally exposes his/her cards before the play is over, their hand is frozen and said player may call but may not raise or bet.

INFLUENCING THE HAND

Players who are not in the hand are prohibited from discussing the hand.  Roberts Rules states: Section 1 - Proper Behavior, Poker Etiquette: The following actions are improper, and grounds for warning, suspending, or barring a violator
Reading a hand for another player at the showdown before it has been placed face up on the table.
Revealing the contents of a live hand in a multi-handed pot before the betting is complete.
Revealing the contents of a folded hand before the betting is complete. Do not divulge the contents of a hand during a deal even to someone not in the pot, so you do not leave any possibility of the information being transmitted to an active player.
       Making statements or taking a
ction that could unfairly influence the course of play, whether or not the offender is involved in the pot.

PRE-BURNING CARDS

Cards may NOT be preburned.
WHY IS PRE-BURNING A CARD A BAD IDEA? We thought you might want to know.
Over time, through regular use, some cards may become marked.  Among all populations, some people are more observant than others.  By maintaining the burn card on top of the next card to be played, that marked card is not revealed to more observant players.  This maintains a more level playing field for all.

CONSEQUENCES

The OneMor Poker League Board of Directors wishes that there was no need for, “consequences.”  Unfortunately, experience has taught that it is important to have consequences as well as rules in order to strive for fair play and having all players on the same page.  Infraction of the above House Rules shall cause Tournament Director to impose the following consequences for each repeated infraction:
First Infraction: Table warning
Second Infraction: Individual warning
Third Infraction:  Player shall go to the rail (step away from the table) for the length of a pass by of three blinds and shall forfeit a penalty of no less than 1,000 chip points or three blinds, whichever is greater.  If player does not possess chips to cover these blinds, they are immediately out of the game.
Fourth Infraction: Player is removed from the game.
