Guidelines:
- The Tournament Director's decision is final for the running game. Anyone who does not agree with a decision is encouraged to fill out a complaint/suggestion regarding the issue.
- Team Poker will be played on Monday Nights.
- New teams must register and play no later than 4th week of sessions.
- Table placement will be available on sign-in sheet by 6:30 PM.
- Players should find table and pick their seat before 7:00 PM.
- Brief announcements and game start at 7:00 PM.
- Rules for game will be: Roberts Rules of Poker for Texas Hold'em & OneMor's House Rules.
- Team Poker is considered a Specialty Game.
- Nightly wins and attendance shall count towards other tournaments as set in their guidelines.
- Each team will consist of 2 permanent players.
- Each team is allowed 1 permanent replacement per session.
- No switching of permanent players from one team to another during the same session.
- Each team is allowed unlimited substitutions for 1 player per game per session and one game where both players may have substitutes. Once a team has used their one time double substitute, they are limited to only one sub. If both players are absent after using their one game per session double sub, one player will receive max points.
- Substitute Players are not bound to any team and are allowed to sub for any team they choose; however, once a Substitute has promised to sub for a team, they shall not be allowed to change to a different team unless the original team they promised to sub for releases them from their obligation. In the event there are problems created along this line, the Substitute Player may be barred from subbing for the rest of the session.
- Anyone wishing to sub may contact the Tournament Director by phone or come to the game. Substitutes should check in with the Tournament Director as soon as possible so they can be assigned to the first team in need. Substitutes may play as long as there is an open slot on the roster.
- Any team needing a substitute who has not made prior arrangements will be assigned a substitute based on first come (or notify) first sub. The TD will make a reasonable effort to help locate a substitute for a team in need, by calling or providing numbers. The TD should not be expected to have to help locate a substitute any later than 15 minutes to game start.
- Substitutes who show up without already have been asked to sub, will be
assigned 1st) to teams who has asked to have a sub in the order they
have asked. 2nd) after satisfying the 1st situation they will be
assigned to the next team highest in points that needs a sub.
- Starting stack for Team Poker is 8,000.
- Blinds are 17 minutes long.
- First table balancing will generally take place after 25/25 blind level.
- Breaks are after 50/100, 400/800, 1000/2000, and 4,000/8,000. (If players still in the game would like, they may choose to break after playing 2 blind levels after 5,000/10,000 levels)
- Breaks at below 1000 blinds will last about 10 minutes.
- Breaks at blind levels above 1000 will last about 5 minutes.
- Game or blind level starts when timer is started.
- Players are allowed to come in late as long as they arrive before the timer starts for 100/200 blinds.
- No player shall be away from the table more than 45 minutes total (excluding break times).
- "Away from the table" is defined as not sitting in the proper seat and not playing the dealt hands of the game. A player who is sitting in a booth or another table to eat but is still able to play their hands will not be considered away from the table. A player who is sitting in a booth or another table reading a book or such and not playing their hands is considered away from the table. A player who is playing pool in the pool league or participating in any other game or activity is considered away from the table. Any player who leaves the premises is considered away from the table. A player that take a short 1-2 hand break to smoke or go to the Restroom will not be considered away from the table unless their absence becomes excessive. 4 minutes is not excessive but over 5 minutes may be considered excessive especially if the player is gone more than once between breaks.
- Players are responsible for notifying the Tournament Director when leaving the table (other than breaks). If a player is "away from the table" and fails to notify the TD, the TD will make a best estimate based on information from other players from their table.
- Players who participate in simultaneous other game(s), such as pool tournaments, should make arrangements with the Tournament Director. Since there is a 45 minute combined time limit to be away from the table, the player may wish to consider joining the Poker Tournament late.
- If a player who is away from the table exceeds the 45 minute time limit or blinds out (loose all their chips from being in the blinds) while away from the table, the player will be marked as out of the game at the time of the player last leaving the table.
- No player will be allowed to be away from the table (ie playing in a pool tournament, or off the premises on an errand) once the game is down to Final Table. If a player is not available to play at the final table the players chips will be removed and the player will be marked as out of the tournament at the time of their last leaving the table.
- Late players will be chipped down 1,000 (25/25 blinds), 2,000 (25/50blinds), or 3,000 (50/100 blinds).
- Chip down will be delayed until Tournament Director has verified all players are seated correctly. This normally takes 1-5 minutes to complete. If a player comes in more than 5 minutes late and the TD has not yet finished seating verification, the player will be chipped down anyway. Do not count on extra time after 7:00. More often than not the seating verification is completed in around 1 minute.
- In extreme cases, with prior notification, a Tournament Director may allow a player may be later than first chip-up. The players chips are chipped down 3k then put on the table. If player is not able to make it before 45 minutes elapses or before final table, they are taken out of the game and marked as a no show.
- There is no "Away from Table" allowed on Final table. If a player is not present and able to be at the table playing, then their chips will be removed and the player will be marked as out of the game at the time of the player last leaving the table.
- Final Table will be 10 players, played on table 3. Players will draw for position, and player who draws the 1st position (Ace) will be dealer.
- Points are given from most to least. First player out receives 1 point for each player present. (ie. 28 players show up, first out receives 28 points).
- First place player receives 1 point.
- Any player who does not make it to a game and has no substitute will receive max points (total number of players signed up for the session).
- Points for each team player are added together to create the team score.
- The team with the best (lowest) score at the end of the session will be declared the wining team.
- In case of a tie for 1st or 2nd place, the tied teams will play one accelerated game to determine the winning team.
- Tie breaking game will be: 4k stack, 5 minute blinds, 2 decks with a designated dealer and a shuffler.
- Tournament generally ends between 11:00 and 11:30 pm depending on how tight final table plays :)~
- Good Luck All In!
